Potting Up

I have just returned from a quick visit to the garden centre to buy some plants for my real life pots.
Here is my inspiration, a 1/12th scale potting bench with geraniums.

Hopefully I will be doing this soon..............if only it would stop raining long enough for me to go outside and get on with it.
Have a lovely weekend doing what you enjoy!

Chickens

For all you chicken enthusiasts out there I recently found some wonderful shabby battered and obviously much loved lead chickens.
They are from the Britains Farmyard series, and I have several sets of chickens, some geese and a couple of cats all in 1/32nd scale.
I will be listing them soon in my Etsy shop http://www.beaupapier.etsy.com/ where I sell all things vintage. Please come and browse anytime, and for those of you who don't know.....I have another blog http://beau-papier.blogspot.com/

Next Door Neighbour

Our next door neighbours in Castro live in the Palacio de Ocharan. Built in 1901 and designed by the architect Eladio Laredo in the style of an Italian villa. It is decorated with ceramic tiles by Daniel Zuloaga.
Privately owned, it has high fences made of wrought iron in an Egyptian design, original to the house.

Imagine spending the summer at the seaside in a house like this!

Ventanas de Mirador

Here in the north of Spain, ventanas de mirador or bay windows feature on most of the old buildings.
Enclosed so the view can be enjoyed even in the wet weather...... it is called Green Spain for a reason!!
We are staying in the seaside town of Castro Urdiales, which has some fine examples of these windows.
